About Kristin:

Kristin Afelumo is the Financial Planner and Owner of HerPlanning, Certified Yoga Instructor, Podcast Host of ‘The TRIBE Podcast’, author of ‘A Girl’s Guide to Networking’, self-proclaimed Foodie, wife to a proud British Nigerian & Dog-Mom to a Goldendoodle Puppy, Charlie.

In her web-based Financial Planning practice, she focuses her efforts on serving Female Primary Income Earners and women who are the money managers of their households. She’s passionate about helping her clients achieve greatness. Her mission is to support clients around Financial Planning so they can be great where it matters, without apology.

Kristin has earned designations as a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®).

In 2022, HerPlanning® was recognized as the Diverse Business of the Year, by Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce. Kristin is currently the resident Financial Expert for News on 6 Tulsa. She was recognized as an LPL Rising Star (Advisor) in 2024 and was recognized.

Kristin is also passionate about empowering other female Financial Advisors and has been called an up & coming voice in her industry. She speaks at industry meetings with her peers on the topics of industry Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Fee-Based Financial Planning and Practice Management.

Originally from Southern California, and a graduate of San Diego State University (SDSU), Kristin feels strongly about supporting her alma mater through service and long-term financial gifts. In 2021, she joined the Board of the SDSU Alumni Association. Kristin also helped the university build what is currently the DFW Chapter of the SDSU Alumni Club from 2015—2020.

Kristin relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2020. She's a recent graduate of Leadership Bixby XX, serves as the Secretary of the Bixby Metro Chamber's Board of Directors, and an active member of her community.
