LPL Financial Planner

Although I began my career in in the financial industry with a large national firm, I’ve spent over 20 years as a small business owner. I worked as a marketing consultant to small businesses in the financial, manufacturing, oil, landscape, and golf industries.  As an independent Financial Advisor, I’ve worked with small businesses and individuals.

My passion is working with individuals and families going through transition – retirement, divorce, illness, or the loss of a loved one – and those who want a hands-on advisor. By putting the client's needs and concerns first, the rest takes care of itself.

I also have additional training & education in Divorce planning and am a member of the Oklahoma Academy of Collaborative Professionals. I hold the following registrations, held with LPL Financial:

  • General Securities Representative (Series 7)
  • Uniform Investment Advisor Law (Series 66)

In addition, I am a licensed life and health insurance agent in the state of Oklahoma.

I’m a native Tulsan who has tried other parts of the state (and the U.S.) but always comes back home. The important things in life – my family and friends include my forever husband, two daughters, and two grandchildren.  I’ve been privileged to have a grandmother and aunt who were both entrepreneurs, a mother and father who encouraged me to find my own path, and friends who’ve helped me along the way.  Working with HerPlanning is a continuation of the path forged by the women who came before.

My former brand name, Gen3 Financial, is a tribute to my family legacy – it represents the three generations of women business owners in my family: Jessie Farnsworth Ward, my grandmother who owned and operated a fruit and vegetable business at the Tulsa Farmers Market in the 1930s and 1940s; my aunt, Lois Ward Bland, who owned the gift store House of Monogram in Utica Square for many years; and me.
